Don't worry..I'm still alive...

Hi everyone...i'm back. Sorry for the long long time i din't blog. I ensure you this is going to be a long blog...have patient...read on...

Beginning of May...
Sick...sick...sick...and i mean really sick. Dad came back with a very "fantastic" gift from China...virus from china...take aeroplane come singapore one...me and my mum fell victim to it...all because my dad choose to be macho and refuse to go see doctor until things got out of hand. Head pain, body pain...heart pain too...cuz went to see doctor for 2 times and spent more than $50 before I got well...my mum worse off...she is still on medication...but i think it's finishing today and i din hear her cough...

Skipped my choir practice during that time to rest. don't think i can sing even if i turn up...my voice is really terrible...one of my colleague even commented that first time see julia speak so feminine...not that i want to but i got no voice...

Spent 2 weeks recuperating at home...so played a lot of maple story...now level 35...and I left victoria island and went to a new place, called orbis. Poor sister lamenting that i so far away cannot give her my things...hahaha...use your maple money to buy la...wahaha...

Went back to work and tried to get back into action...but did not really do much...2 weeks of rest is enough to get anyone lethargic...and erm, fat...got to start rigid exercise routine to get back in shape...

Had roadshow last week at bedok so was feeling very tired on Monday...got a good start by making lots of calls and appointments...well, since at bedok, i went to the shops around bedok to ask about the 1gb mini sd card...i can use it as storage and can also use for my nokia 6280. Shock of my life...first shop selling at $88 (glups)...two shop away selling at $68 (wow)...third one selling at $70 (ok la) and another selling at $60 (oh my god)...went home and check the internet...cheapest $42 at sim lim, next is $45 at funan...and all same brand, kingston ok...make me wonder did the first shop give me wrong price...anyway, am a happy girl now having got my mini sd card at $45...yeah!

So had anyone watched da vinci code??? I know it's a total fiction, but i went to watch it because i want to see the places describe in the book...Just a note, da vince means "of vinci"...it's not a surname as everyone thinks...vinci is the name of a town in italy. so leonardo da vinci means leonardo of the town of vinci...interesting ne...so actually dan brown's title "the da vinci code" may seems a bit grammatical wrong..hahaha...I went to watch it with one of my best friend last week after my roadshow...not a bad movie la but definitely the book is nicer.

Anyway heard this horror story from a fellow colleague today and thought that you all might wanna know and be careful when buying motor insurance...she changed car recently and her car dealer told her about his experience...

He bought from this company, well-known for cheap premiums but hard to claim, and had a minor accident one day. So he had to sent it to the stipulated workshop. When he went to collect his car, he was given a form to sign to collect his car. Since the insurance company is so well-known so he thought their workshop should be alright also...so he just sign and left. Halfway through, he just felt something funny when driving his car. He got off and realize his tire has been changed and certain of his car parts were changed too...not to more expensive one, but to cheaper ones. He had no case against them as he had signed the forms and collected his car and left...anyone heard of this kind of experience before???

Anyway my colleague went on to explain that the cheap premiums is possible for motor insurance with specified workshop because they give the rights to workshop that give the lowest quote for repair. And to make money, it's possible that they might do funny things to your car to make money...

Moral of the story - always check before you sign anything no matter what you do...

So fast...it's may and the time for dumplings is here again. Mum has been making them for the past two days...this year got new pattern...nonya dumplings with yam paste inside. No joke...it's really very very nice...yummy..."Mummy, can i have more of it?"...hohoho...better control before my figure gets out of shape...
